The Gozo Philatelic Exhibition 2015 application form together with the regulations is now out. To view the application form click here.
This year's 16th edition of the Gozo Philatelic Exhibition, organised annually by the Gozo Philatelic Society, will be open from the 6th to the 27th of November, with the theme this year being "Post and Postmen".
The exhibition is taking place at the Gozo Ministry Halls in St. Francis Square, Victoria. Aiming to encourage philately, the participation of the general public is free of charge. The exhibition will be open during office hours.
Various philatelic categories are featured during the exhibition which are Postal History, Social Philately, Traditional and Junior Sections. The display includes antique and rare philatelic material and professional exhibits.
MaltaPost is taking part in the exhibition and a special postmark will be issued for the occasion on the 6th of November.
Various philately related activities will be held during the three (3) weeks duration of the exhibition. The activities and dates are as follows:
On the occasion of the Consecration of Fr. George Bugeja O.F.M, MaltaPost issued a commemorative postmark on 4th September, 2015. The Gozo Philatelic Society in collaboration with the administration of Our Lady of Ta` Pinu national sanctuary issued the below card in a limited edition of 300 cards.
On Tuesday, 23rd June, 2015, the Victoria P.O. ended their services at 129, Republic Street, Victoria, Gozo. They are now located at 3, Republic Street, Victoria, Gozo. On this occastion, the Gozo Philatelic Society issued a commemorative card with three handstamps in a limited edition of 100 cards.
For the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the Coronation of the Painting of Our Lady of Ta' Pinu, MaltaPost issued a commemorative special handstamp on 20th June, 2015 from its' Victoria P.O. The Gozo Philatelic Society issued the following commemorative postcard.
On 16th June, 2015, MaltaPost issued a new stamp featuring St. George's Feast. The Gozo Philatelic Society issued the following commemorative card for this occasion. This card is a joint issue with the "HEART OF GOZO MUSEUM" in a limited edition of 150 cards.
We would like to inform you that the monthly members' meetings are continuing throughout the summer at the Victoria Scouts HQ, every first Sunday of the month. All meetings start at 9:00am. The entrance is free and free stamps are distributed to all participants. Don't forget to note it down in your diary! See you there!!
MaltaPost issued a commemorative special Post Mark on the occasion of the 15th Anniversary of the Pagent L-Imsallab fi Triqatna on the 21st March 2015 from its' Victoria P.O. The Gozo Philatelic Society issued the following commemorative postcard.
The Gozo Philatelic Society has elected a new President. Louis Bonello was chosen at the first meeting of the committee following the Annual General Meeting held at Il-Ħagar Heart of Gozo Museum on 4th January, 2015, where Anton Said announced his resignation from President for personal reasons and is now a Honorary Life President.
The Annual General Meeting was held at Il-Ħagar Heart of Gozo Museum, in St. George's Square, Victoria, on Sunday, 4th January, 2015 at 9.00am. This had included the distribution of prizes and certificates to all participants in the 15th GPS Philatelic Exhibition, main sponsors being MaltaPost as well as Sliema Stamp Shop.

On 5th Decemeber, 2014, MaltaPost issued a special handstamp "Milied f'Għawdex" at the Victoria P.O. For this occasion, the Gozo Philatelic Society, issued a commemorative card.
The christmas stamp set for 2014, depicting some scenes from the live crib scenes in Gozo - Bethlehem f'Għajnsielem. As this has a connection with Gozo, the Gozo Philatelic Society issued a special card.
